Register and Privacy Statement regarding the customer and marketing register
By ordering products from our online store, you accept the terms of use and our privacy policy.

This is a combined Register statement and information document for Lasten Satumetsä customers, potential customers and website users in accordance with Sections 10 and 24 of the Personal Data Act (523/1999) and Articles 12 and 13 of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (679/2016). 5. Purpose and basis of personal data processing

We collect information from our customers for online shopping deliveries and customer management. When doing business in an online store, the main source of information that provides information is the user of the online store, i.e. the customer himself, who provides the information when placing an order. The purpose of processing personal data is to process orders, deliver and return them, manage customer relations, maintenance, marketing, enabling contacts required by customer service. We can also use personal data for marketing research and customer surveys. The processing of personal data is based on our legitimate interest to collect and analyze relevant information in order to better understand our customers and develop relevant services.

6. Information to be recorded in the register
The following information is collected from the customer buying from the online store:
  • First and last name
  • Address
  • Telephone, e-mail address and phone number
  • Customer number
  • Order history
  • Delivery tracking information
  • Possible additional information/wishes stated by the customer
  • The permission given by the customer to send marketing communications, participation in possible competitions or customer satisfaction surveys that ask for contact information.
  • Payment information related to the settlement of payment transactions, refunds and possible credit checks.
7. Payment service
We use the services of Klarna Oy for processing payments, and the services of logistics companies for deliveries, in which case the customer is directed to a third-party website. In this case, the terms and conditions and privacy statement of the service provider in question apply to the site. Lasten Satumetsä does not store bank or credit card information in its systems.

8. Your Rights

A person in the register has the right to request the removal of personal data about him from the register ("the right to be forgotten"). Those registered also have other rights according to the EU's General Data Protection Regulation, such as limiting the processing of personal data in certain situations.

Right of inspection

You have the right to check the personal data we have stored about you. If you notice errors or omissions in your information, you can ask us to correct or supplement the information.

Right to object

You have the right to object to the processing of your personal data at any time if you feel that we have processed your personal data illegally or that we do not have the right to process some of your personal data.

Ban on direct marketing

You have the right at any time to prohibit us from using your data for direct marketing. We do not sell or otherwise disclose your personal information to other parties so that they can target direct marketing to you.

We procure online advertising, e.g. from Facebook and Google. However, these companies never receive your personal data and this kind of advertising is not about direct marketing, but is based on cookies. See the section on cookies in more detail.

Right of deletion

If you feel that the processing of some information about you is not necessary for our tasks, you have the right to ask us to delete the information in question. We will process your request, after which we will either delete your data or inform you of a justified reason why the data cannot be deleted.

Right of appeal

You have the right to file a complaint with the data protection commissioner if you feel that we have violated valid data protection legislation when processing your personal data.

9. Regular transfers of data and transfer of data outside the EU or EEA
We do not disclose or sell information to third parties for marketing purposes outside the EU or EEA.
In order to be able to process your order completely, we will only pass on your information to our online store partners that comply with the privacy policy, such as product manufacturers and delivery companies, in order to deliver the order using the delivery method that the customer has chosen. For example, transportation is handled by Matkahuolto, UPS and DHL, GLS and others, depending on the brand. Among other things, the data transfer policy in question applies to products that are sent to the customer by direct delivery from the manufacturer within the EU. These products are: wallpapers, furniture, dolls, etc.
Information from the personal register can also be disclosed to the accountant, to fulfill the accounting obligation according to the Accounting Act, and to the payment service provider Klarna Oy.

10 . Principles of registry protection

Care is taken when processing the register and the information processed with the help of information systems is properly protected. When registry data is stored on Internet servers, the physical and digital data security of their hardware is taken care of accordingly. The registrar ensures that stored data as well as server access rights and other data critical to the security of personal data are handled confidentially and only by those employees whose job description it is.

This site uses cookies. You can accept or deny the collection of cookies. The site sends a cookie to the browser - a small text file that is stored on the computer's hard drive. Both temporary session ID cookies are used, which close when you close the Internet browser, and permanent cookies, which are stored on the computer's hard drive. With the help of cookies, we can recognize your browser and use the information we get in this way, for example, to count the browsers visiting our site and to analyze the use of our site, such as statistical monitoring. They also give us the opportunity to view and track the interests of our users and thus improve our website. All collected information is anonymous, and online activities cannot be linked to a specific person.

Most Internet browsers automatically accept cookies, but if you wish, you can modify your browser settings and disable cookies at any time. You can avoid cookies by modifying the settings of your browser program and denying their use.

Advertising cookies help us choose the most suitable and interesting ads for you. They also block the display of the same ads. The information collected using cookies and web trackers does not tell us or third parties any personal information, such as your name or contact information. Third-party advertisers may also use technology to measure the effectiveness of ads. To do this, they can use a tracker placed on our website to collect anonymous data. After receiving anonymous information about the user's visits to these and other websites, advertisers can design advertisements for products and services that may be of interest to the user.
