Register and privacy statement regarding customer and marketing registers
By ordering products from our online store, you agree to our terms of use and privacy policy.
This is a combined register description and information document for customers, potential customers and website users of Lasten Satumetsä in accordance with sections 10 and 24 of the Personal Data Act (523/1999) and articles 12 and 13 of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (679/2016). 5. Purpose and basis for processing personal data
We collect information from our customers for the purpose of delivering online purchases and managing customer relationships. When dealing with an online store, the primary source of information is the user of the online store, i.e. the customer themselves, who provides the information when placing an order. The purpose of processing personal data is to process, deliver and return orders, manage customer relationships, maintain, market and enable customer service contacts. We may also use personal data for marketing research and customer surveys. The processing of personal data is based on our legitimate interest in collecting and analysing relevant information to better understand our customers and develop relevant services.
6. Information to be recorded in the register
The following information is collected from customers purchasing from the online store:
- First and last name
- Address
- Phone, email address and phone number
- Customer number
- Order history
- Delivery tracking information
- Any additional information/requests provided by the customer
- Permission given by the customer to send marketing communications, participation in possible competitions or customer satisfaction surveys that ask for contact information.
- Payment information related to clearing payment transactions, refunds and possible credit checks.
7. Payment service
We use Klarna Oy services for payment processing and logistics companies for deliveries, in which case the customer is redirected to a third-party website. In this case, the terms and conditions and privacy policy of the service provider in question apply to the website. Lasten Satumetsä does not store bank or credit card information in its systems.
8. Your rights
A person registered in the register has the right to request the deletion of personal data concerning him or her from the register ("right to be forgotten"). Data subjects also have other rights under the EU General Data Protection Regulation, such as the restriction of the processing of personal data in certain situations.
Right of inspection
You have the right to review the personal data we have stored about you. If you notice any errors or omissions in your data, you can ask us to correct or supplement the information.
Right to object
You have the right to object to the processing of your personal data at any time if you feel that we have processed your personal data unlawfully or that we do not have the right to process some of your personal data.
Direct marketing ban
You have the right to object to us using your information for direct marketing at any time. We will not sell or otherwise disclose your personal information to third parties for the purpose of direct marketing to you.
We obtain online advertising from, among others, Facebook and Google. However, these companies never receive your personal data and this type of advertising is not direct marketing, but is based on cookies. For more information, see the section on cookies.
Right of withdrawal
If you feel that the processing of some of your data is not necessary for the purposes of our tasks, you have the right to ask us to delete that data. We will process your request and either delete your data or provide you with a reasoned reason why the data cannot be deleted.
Right of appeal
You have the right to file a complaint with the Data Protection Ombudsman if you feel that we are violating applicable data protection legislation when processing your personal data.
9. Regular data transfers and data transfers outside the EU or EEA
We do not disclose or sell information to third parties for marketing purposes outside the EU or EEA.
In order to fully process your order, we only disclose your data to our necessary online store partners who comply with the data protection policy, such as product manufacturers and delivery companies, to deliver the order using the delivery method chosen by the customer. For example, transport is provided by Matkahuolto, UPS and DHL, GLS and others, depending on the brand. Among other things, this data transfer policy applies to products that are shipped directly to the customer from the manufacturer within the EU. These products include: wallpaper, furniture, dolls, etc.
Information from the personal register may also be disclosed to the accountant, in order to fulfill the accounting obligation under the Accounting Act, and to the payment service provider Klarna Oy.
10. Principles of register protection
The register is handled with care and the data processed by the information systems are protected appropriately. When the register data is stored on Internet servers, the physical and digital security of their equipment is appropriately ensured. The controller ensures that the stored data, as well as the access rights to the servers and other information critical to the security of personal data, are handled confidentially and only by employees whose job description requires it.
11. Cookies
This website uses cookies. You can accept or refuse the collection of cookies. The website sends a cookie to your browser – a small text file that is stored on your computer’s hard drive. Both temporary session cookies, which are closed when you close your Internet browser, and permanent cookies, which are stored on your computer’s hard drive, are used. Cookies allow us to recognize your browser and use the information we receive to, for example, count the number of browsers visiting our website and to analyze the use of our website, such as for statistical purposes. They also allow us to view and track the interests of our users and thus improve our websites. All information collected is anonymous and cannot be used to link online activities to a specific person.

Third-party advertisers may also use technology to measure the effectiveness of advertisements. To do this, they may use a cookie placed on our website to collect anonymous information.
